Blood was drawn from the dams by jugular venipuncture into non-heparinised vacutainer blood collection tubes and allowed to clot. Serum was separated by centrifugation at 2000 × g for 10 min and stored at -20 °C prior to analysis of anti-Neospora IgG using a commercially available ELISA kit (IDEXX). Samples were considered positive with a sample / positive (S / P) value of ≥ 0.50. The S / P value was calculated using the optical density (OD) results. The estimates of means (Infected -■-, Control -∆-) and standard of means (error bars) are presented.Back to article page
