The parameters used in the analysis: C max is the peak value for the cellular immune response, T Coff is the time of the peak, δC is the rate of decrease of the cellular immune response after the peak, H 0 is the initial value of the antibody response, T Hon is the time of start of increase in OD value, H rise is the amount of increase in OD value, B 0 is the initial shedding, T Bon is the predicted time of the increase in shedding, and B rise is the amount of increase in MAP shedding. Positive ('+') and negative ('-') associations are indicated if at least 20% bootstrapped datasets showed a significant association (p < 0.05); the exact percentage is given. Parameter Brise was measured in log(cfu/g) units.
