Anti-protective antigen (PA) antibody titres as detected by ELISA following Sterne live spore vaccination of goats at week 0 and week 12. Serum samples of individual goats (D5, D6, D20, D29 and D31) were collected and analysed before vaccination (week 0), 4 weeks after initial vaccination (week 4) and after the second vaccine dose (week 17). Mean anti-PA antibody titres detected by ELISA of positive control (Sterne live spore vaccinated goats) and negative control (naive goats) are indicated in Table 1.
