CATH-2 induces IL-1β and IL-1α secretion in LPS-primed macrophages. Cells were primed with LPS for 3 h and then CATH-2 (5 μM) and ATP (1.5 mg/mL) as positive control were added for an additional 21 h. After 24 h, supernatants were collected to determine cytokine secretion of IL-1β (A), IL-1α (B), IL-6 (C), IL-12 (D) and TNF-α (E) using ELISA; WST-1 was used to detect metabolic activity of cells (F).
