ProQ promoted APEC/ExPEC adhesion to nonphagocytic cells. A The adhesion profiles of WT FY26, the mutant FY26ΔproQ, and the complemented strain FY26CproQ to HEp2 cells, assessed at 2 and 4 hpi. The presented data are the mean values derived from three independent experiments. A significant difference was observed between WT FY26 and FY26ΔproQ, with P < 0.01. B The adhesion of WT FY26, the FY26ΔproQ mutant, and the FY26CproQ complemented strain to DF-1 cells was compared.
